END OF LIFE
The amount of e-waste generated every year in the EU is increasing rapidly. E-waste contains a complex mixture of materials that can cause major environmental and health problems if the discarded devices are not managed properly. Electronics also contain rare and expensive resources, including critical raw materials. These can be recycled and reused if the waste is effectively collected and managed.
Icotera products comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. The directive seeks to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic waste, promote recycling, and recovery, and improve the environmental performance of all operators involved in the life cycle of EEE.
We handle our WEEE producer responsibility through the Elretur system in Denmark. We report data on the amounts of EEE produced to the authorities, as required under the extended producer responsibility, and Elretur handles our producer responsibility obligations, collecting and handling WEEE on our behalf.
We strive to move from a linear to a circular perspective on our products together with our customers.
